I stumbled upon a great feature in Outlook the other day.
While in the compose mode, I used the "Ctrl-Mouse Wheel Scroll Up" feature to see if it would enlarge the text (as it does in IE or Firefox) and it did, which is what I expected. (FYI, my font is "Calibri 11".) I composed the message and hit "Send".
Later, when I went to compose another new message, the body text was still enlarged! I didn't expect it to retain that setting between messages but it did. I find that to be a plus.
And the really odd thing? Even though the text is made larger:
- The font size in the drop down on my toolbar when composing is still set at 11 even though the font is much larger.
- Recipients of my message see the font size as Calibri 11.
I find that to be great design. I can set my font to a normal size (Calibri 11) for my recipients but have a larger font when composing.
My in-laws live in
The Villages and while my wife and I were recently visiting we were looking through the newspaper with all the different groups, my wife said "Hey, the have a codependency support group."
All I could do was laugh and say "That sort of defeats the purpsose, doesn't it?"
Today I was out blowing some leaves out of the rocks that make up our front yard. As I blew a the leaves out onto the sidewalk and into the street to for me to sweep up, I thought to myself, "Man, that is a LOT of leaves to sweep up." A voice popped into my head (as it has many times over the years) that said "I don't care so much about much you got, I'm want to know how much you didn't get." Sage advice from my mom that has kept me honest and hard-working over the years.
I only hope I am instilling the wisdom my mom gave me to my step-children.
I love you mom and I miss you!
